# Edit a Widget

## Introduction

You can edit the information in a widget, edit the context, dimensions, and the metrics.

## Procedure

Perform the following steps to edit a widget:

**Step 1:** Click **Custom** **Dashboards** from the left navigation panel.

**Step 2:** Navigate to any Dashboard that you want to edit.&#x20;

**Step 3:** Hover over the widget. The **Edit** icon is displayed below the widget. Click the **Edit** icon.

**Step 4:** Make the necessary changes and click **Update Widget**.

**Step 5**: A confirmation message appears stating that the widget was successfully updated.
